Hi Melanie, Thank you for your blog. We have been enjoying your family's blog for years. We even learn new ideas for healthy eating. We recently started using the Two Sisters' cookbook. What pesto recipe does your family use?
We are the Littmann Family from St. Charles, Missouri.
The pesto recipe we use is one we compiled form a few different ones. Just in case you want to make it here it is:
4 cups greens (I've done all parsley, half parsley and half basil, and this last batch was 3c. basil to 1c. parsley) 8 cloves garlic 1 stick butter 1 cup walnuts 1 teaspoon salt 1cup Olive oil (1 1/2 for a thinner spread) 2 cups ramano or parmesan cheese, grated
I blend everything together in a food processor except the oil and ramano. Once blended I slowly add the oil and then add the cheese (not sure if it really makes a difference, but I think its better:-)

Oh yeah pesto... I forgot about that!
To the kitchen I go!
I love the 'garden art' photo! :-) And the pesto . . . that looks good too. Anything green right now!
Miss you Melanie!
