Happy Thanksgiving!

Welcome to a new blog post!

We've finished unpacking... well all the major stuff.
Boys room 1

Boys room 2
I love the different ways the boys arrange their bureau tops

Pictures are pretty much the last thing to be done inside

The boys "after shot" of their haircuts. Such handsome men!

Mom and I without our hair cut :-)

Enjoying God's creation

Completing the de- sportsizing process of my room.

Enjoying a lunch break in the sun (It was somewhere in the 70's! That's pretty much unheard of in Massachusetts in mid November)

Saturday we went to explore Bricktown. We had heard of these buffalo that "decorate" the town from some friends and had to get a picture with one.

Making sure no one tries to sneak in the exit

Pa came across his first historical plaque. You can read it if you blow the picture up

Brick structures are always so photogenic

Uh, yeah... the things you see here can be... interesting
Finding where we are and how to get where we want to be...

The Banjo Museum
Ever heard of a Gibson guitar? Well that gentleman is the man they were named after. (Quite the outfit, huh?!?)

There were hundreds of banjos all with different designs.
My favorite

They even had live entertainment

I like being green too... if we ever open a restaurant I think we'll need to make a sign like this

The Thanksgiving Kitchen Crew

Some kind of "comedy of errors" seems inevitable with that much cooking.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
We truly have so much to be thankful for and have so many blessings to count. Let us not forget the many sacrifices our forefathers made for us, nor water them down, or re-write them:

"What, then, could now sustain them but the spirit of God, and His grace? Ought not the children of their fathers rightly to: Our fathers were Englishman who came over the great ocean, and were ready to perish in this wilderness; but they cried unto the Lord, and He heard their voice, and looked on their adversity.... Let them therefore praise the Lord, because He is good, and His mercy endure forever. Yea, let them that have been redeemed of the Lord, show how He hath delivered them from the hand of the oppressor. When they wandered forth into the desert-wilderness , out of the way, and found no city to dwell in, both hungry and thirsty, their soul was overwhelmed in them. Let them confess before the Lord His loving kindness, and His wonderful works before the sons of men!" ~ Of Plymouth Plantation

Hello from Maine! It's snowing!
That banjo museum looked really cool, Mr. Gibson's outfit was..... very loud. Nice hair cuts boys, you look very handsome, as always. As for Flaming Lips Alley..... I'm not sure quite how to comment on that one, but the name is hilarious.

Jor should live on that street :)! I never would have thought of it.

Seems like dropping eggs has become a Thanksgiving tradtion! On the list you add up all you need, then add: "a few for mishaps :-)" Good memories.

See you in a few hours~ Sending LOVE~

Hammocks in rooms... nice!

"bureau" - I've never heard dressers called that - must be an east-coast thing. I like it. As my 3-year-old sister Kathryn would say: "that's fancy" :)

Yeah, this weather's been amazing lately. There's a huge cold front moving in... the high today in Springfield is 67º, the high tomorrow is 34º!

Nice quote - there is a lot of scripture in it.

Welcome to the Midwest ... Thomas Family!
We are curious about your hammocks. What are the benefits of sleeping in a hammock vs a bed?
