March 2015

March began for some of us in Florida taking a course at Trinity School of health. I didn't get many pictures since all the classes looked the same.

School is much more interesting when you want to learn about a particular topic... though tests are just as bad.

Mom helping with a lesson on figuring out which part of the body to support when feeling down.

There were many wonderful people there and it's always a joy connecting with sisters in Christ across the US where you feel you've known each other for ages.

Yay!! So thankful we all passed and are now Certified Natural Health Professionals and better able to help others

After a week of classroom work the beach is a perfect place to unwind... and even though it was just March the water was refreshing and pretty warm

Farewell Florida!

Continuing my gypsy travels I spent a week with Melissa to help with some sewing/fitting and dieing fabric for a dress she's making. I didn't get pictures, but you can see some over at Jordan's blog that also includes a visit from Pa and Mom

Melissa coordinated going to see the new Cinderella with a bunch of ladies and a number of us dressed up to see it. Never to old for that kind of thing!

Marscel has been taking classes down near our friends and was able to spend some time with them before to explore Elephant Rocks with them

And thus ends March with some family game time

February... the shortest month, but no less full of all sorts of happenings...

Like the never ending need for haircuts...

And visits with friends

Curly girl time!

Our friend has a little photo studio set up in one of their rooms, where she takes pictures of her baby niece, set up for Valentines Day which called for an amusing impromptu photo shoot

Sometimes we can be such posers

Ending the night with a favorite film

Our personal body guard
For our friend Benjamin's birthday we were invited to an epic treasure hunt.
I only took a few pictures as Andrew had his camera (seen to the left here) which you can see the more extensive post at his blog here: Gallantry Training Center

   "Cluing for looks"

Deciphering the clues using Bible verses, birthdays, the number of words, and a crossword puzzle  led us to numbers that equaled a coordinate

Searching the area, Benjamin found the next clue

Dividing into teams for a game

Our worthy opponents

Some of my favorite times at the apartments... chilling with the boys in the evening, singing, reading the Bible, laughing, discussing life.

Mom bought me my own box of butterfly band-aids since she knows I love them... and tend to need them. The very next day I got a pretty bad cut on my finger and quickly put my blend of Young Living oils to stop bleeding. It stopped it in under a minute and sealed my finger so well I didn't end up needing the butterfly closure. I was almost disappointed :-P

Back seat car travels with Micaiah

What better way to spend a cold, snowy day then with sled rides behind a 4-wheeler

Henry offered to help fix Uncle Micaiah's hair for church

Florida here we come! Mom picked me up and together we headed down for a week long health class. It was great being able to arrive a little early to see Uncle Ron.

Before classes began we were able to enjoy a walk on the beach, which of course meant me scouring the sand the whole time for lovely sea treasures!

January 2015

Monday, February 9, 2015

Hello friends... I know it's been a long time since my last post. I was hoping to catch up, but if I wait for that to happen it may be some more months. I decided to start fresh with the new year and hope to keep up to date even if it means posting with less captions.
 Happy New Year!

Starting the year with my nephews at the whispering arch.

Sometimes you enjoy a ball so much you forget to take pictures until the very end... and when you forget your camera

Our friend Lauren came to visit and upon her arrival we're off to go skating

Apparently the excitement on their faces wouldn't be the same if their feet were on the ground

Young Living classes are good reasons to get together with friends.
(If you're interested in knowing more about Young Living Essential oils you can email me at:

Helping do some demo on Michael and Rebekah's new house

And Samantha joins us for the final weekend... which also happened to be one of the warmest January days and the perfect day to tour St. Louis! I love friends that you can pick right back up where you left off years before.

and I loved being able to borrow Michaels camera for the day

Best little (yet not little) brother ever!

Matthew decided to test the ice and I kept waiting for him to fall through at any moment

His excuse to test it in the first place... a bale of hay "ruining the aesthetic view".  Turns out the hay was frozen down and wouldn't budge.

Of course it was then turned into a prop for photo shoots

One by one they slowly made their way out

Two more go out

They make me smile

I decided if it could hold all five of them at once, chances were good I wouldn't fall through so Matthew took over the camera

Meeting up with some friends for rock climbing

No... this wasn't posed

The blonde and brunette twins

Since I was still recovering from a cough I became guardian of the phones and other misc things

First time for them to see the Mississippi.

It was such a great time having you girls!

Enjoying some ping pong after a bit of theological discussion

First outside skating of the year

And I shall end the post with a picture of us at an 80's party. I gotta say, I'm so glad this isn't the style anymore. :-)
